Together, we can dismantle silos within the youth sexual health field by building awareness for resources, funding opportunities, and anti-oppressive actions that are advancing accessible, inclusive, and liberating sexual health education in Colorado.

This website aims to be a tool to highlight initiatives, programs, or practices that are in alignment with the core boundaries, liberating practices, and anti-oppressive recommendations for youth sexual health education. If your work is in alignment with these principles, approaches, and action, we invite you to share this information with Trailhead so that we may discuss how best to share your efforts with fellow partners in the field, through the SASH website, or through other channels.

Core Boundaries for Sex Education

  1. Intersectionality is necessary to understand the way different identities are impacted by systems of oppression.

  2. Pleasure-based sex education is required.

  3. Different forms of oppression (isms) must be defined and connected to our existing sex education system.

  4. Equitable access to sex education for everyone across the whole spectrum of humans is a necessity
